IPMS Nationals 2004

By Tom Kowaliski

[Jim DiGiacomo's 1st place Escape Pod]

^ Jim DiGiacomo's 1st place Escape Pod.

Every year the International Plastic Modeler's Society holds its Annual 4 day contest and swap fest, one of the big modeling events of the year. In 2004, the Nationals were held in the Civic Plaza in Phoenix, Arizona. The heat was hot but the air was dry and the tables were full of models.

If you see a model not properly credited or a name spelled wrong, please let me know so I can fix the mistake!

The Science Fiction

Image: Another look. In this image, from left to right, are Orne Montgomery's F-8 Crusader V, USS Ivanova/NCC-1777, Skyclipper Li, MiG-31 "MayDay", F-62 Valkyrie II, Red October, HMS Vulcan; behind these, the Klingon and Romulan D-7s, and Ivanova's StarFury are mine as well. Except for the last three OOBs, everything else was either a major conversion project or scratchbuilt.
