Romulan D7 & Bird of Prey |

This is an AMT D7 and the small Adversary BOP, both done in Romulan markings. I know they're not identical accepted scale, but I think they look good together. These represent ships a period somewhere between the TV and movie eras. The decals are from sheets by JBOT and Gino Dykstra. The accent paneling decals are from Thomas Models. I added a few etched metal ship parts to see if I could do something like the studio miniature builders. The rust accent coloring is pastel chalk. The 'glowing' engines were made with tubing and painted with a Boyd's car color and the surrounding area brushed with green pastel to look like a reflection. Otherwise, they're box stock. I tried several things I've never done before for possible use on the AMT movie D7.
