Millenium Falcon

By Jeff Pryor

Here's some images of my small Hoth Base Falcon. I started this project back in December 2000 and finished in December 2003.

As we all know, this kit is horrible straight from the box, so I cut off the sidewalls and totally rebuilt them using Evergreen styrene, photoetch detail plates (actually 1/35 cockpit panels from Reheat Models), and cut-up bits of spare parts. I also cut out the turrent platform on top and turned it around since it was molded on backwards. The cockpit was beefed up to look more accurate. The radar dish edge was sanded down somewhat and it's support structure built from scratch. And the engine was built up one piece at a time.

Camouflage Gray was airbrushed over gray primer, and all the other panels were hand painted.
