This is a paper model of the SR-51 Seahawk from the Wing Commander computer game. The Seahawk is the Terran Confederation's equivalent of the US Navy's E-2C Hawkeye and provides both long range recon and command and control functions to Confed's strike forces.

This was the first paper model that I unfolded myself from the original mesh. The mesh was obtained from the Wing Commander 3D website and converted to a .cob format using Deep Exploration software, processed using Metasequoia and finally unfolded using the Pepakura software. Printing was done on an Epson Photo 830 using the maximum quality settings and printed onto a high quality mat white coated paper.

Thanks to an overly excitable Maine Coon cat, there is some minor damage visible to the upper sensor platform that needs repair. However it seems only fitting that a terran relative of the Kilrathi should damage a Confed ship!
