The Hustlin Hussy

By Aaron Smith

The Hustlin’ Hussy is an old Beta 5-class Deuterium cargo carrier designed specifically for fast travel between the tri-system area of Earth, Vulcan and Alpha Centauri. The original Beta 5s were designed to tow an additional 4 deuterium tanks (the hardpoint locks for these can be seen at the rear of the “wedge” but the crew of the Hustlin’ Hussy converted their Beta 5 into a standard cargo ship, adding a pair of massive loading doors on either side of the bow. The engine can hit warp 7 cruising speed easily. The Hustlin’ Hussy is a member of the TransGalactic Shipping Contractors (TGSC) meaning she is Starfleet-protected but privately owned.

The Hustlin’ Hussy is…from bow to stern…a G.I. Joe backpack, 2 pieces of model train wood, a Russian tank turret (can’t remember which one) cargo doors from the same tank, more G.I. Joe backpacks on the side, a piece of PVC pipe, the main drive shaft of the AT-AT and the foot of an AT-AT. She was a lot of fun to build because she’s 100% custom, baby!
