USS El Dorado NCC-17290

By Aaron Smith

The USS El Dorado is one of those “unsung heroes” of the Federation; a starship which has been to the brink and back with many tales to tell, just like the Enterprise or the Excelsior. This El Dorado-class ship (an Ambassador-class prototype) has been in service since before the first Ambassador-class ship rolled off the Mars Yards assembly line. The El Dorado, essentially the pathfinder design for the Ambassador-class, was such a success that the only changes made were minor interior designs. Since then, the El Dorado has been involved as an explorer throughout the far reaches of the Beta Quadrant.

The El Dorado is just an Enterprise-C kit with different decals. …and, oh yeah, she’s just a little weathered. It looks like her captain treated her like a 4x4 truck.
