This is the mothership from “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (CE3K). It is a small resin kit from Lunar Models, available at Monsters in Motion. The "spikes" of the ship are made from brass and styrene rods. The ship was painted bolt gun metal as a basecoat, the "lights" are done with white and UV-sensitive colors in red and yellow. The top and bottom domes are drybrushed with light blue.

The display base, showing its approach to devils tower, was primered in dark grey; the plateau mountain drybrushed in Codex grey, Fortress grey and white; the ground painted in dark brown and drybrushed in three shades of grey to simulate the trees surrounding the mountain.

All in all four days of work, to have a bit fun beside my larger (and still ongoing) RODGER YOUNG project...
