This is Star Freighter Kumamoto Maru, heavy bulk transport of 2250 AD. Is equipped with supra-light engines, in redundant quad array for safety. Also has 2 plasma cannon for protection from small raider vessels. Capable of planetary landing for to discharge and pick up cargo, the Maru class freighter is in service with many nations and worlds, and should continue in service for many years to come, much like DC-3 of Old Earth fame.

Is constructed from hull of Aurora SKIPJACK submarine, top of hull to bottom. Drive units are from 1/32nd Scale EA-6B, ECM pods. Fairings on hull are from drop tanks, pressed into surface to conform. Sections of silver decal film, masked with common window screen and sprayed with dark gray are used for hull detail. Winglets are from various jet aircraft. Paint is Pollyscale “Graphite”. Maru is named for friendly local modeler and dentist (in spite of which, is really nice guy).
