Light Repair Vessel |

Scale: Not stated When your ship gets all banged-up and you are lightyears away from a shipyard, who'ya gonna call? I decided to build a ship that would be ready to be called into action for on-site repairs and general support in large fleet operations. The design incorporates a raised command section (to give it a better view and to keep it out of the way when docking with other ships), shielded engines, and a wing-like universal docking clamp assembly on the underside. The bulk of the body is made out of styrene sheet and tons of old model parts. Here is a partial list of materials: pens, a telephone jack, shielded wire, zip ties, brass tubing, drywall screw holders, and a VCR tape guide. Image: Underneath Image: Bow Image: Docking approach |
