This kit was manufactured in the early 80's following the success of the Macross series. The mecha's primary purpose is artillery support for the other ground destroid units. Being big and slow makes it vunerable to enemy fire and mobile units, like the Zentran. Due to their size, and limited ablities, not many have been produced.

The detail on the kit was not bad for an early 80's kit. Must of the time spent on the model was filling the seams and sanding. The problem during construction was the four main cannons on top. I spent some time trying to fit them properly. The Moster is painted in Model Masters Enamel (MME) Panzer Olivgrun 1943 and MME Panzer Dunkelgelb 1943.

The four main cannons are painted with MME Gunmetal and MME Dark Ghost Grey on the arms. Some black washing was done but most of the black highlights were done with a Micro 0.5 black pen. The original decals were damaged so I only added the nose art "Gunslinger". The model is sealed with a gloss coat.
