The EAL-04A Pathfinder Alpha is ths primary Exo-Armor
of the Jovian Confederation and is considered to be
the standard Exp-Armor of the JAF. This Pathfinder is
piloted by Lieutenant Helena Juno of the JSS Valiant,
and is the lead Exo-Armor of Tiger Flight. This
Pathfinder switches out the arm-mounted 652A particle
cannon for a hand held 752R Particle Cannon. Flight
Lead is indicated by the Red Paint Scheme. Squadron
colors are the Tiger strips painted on the shoulders.
This Fusion Models kit was purchased ten years ago and has been
languishing in its box until recently. Made out of
resin, it is highly detailed, but had a few flaws in
bubbles in the casting. Overall it is a fun kit,
although it is recommended to paint the model before
assembly.
I assembled the model using superglue after filling in
and filing down holes and bumps. The modular nature
of the model allows for a great deal of positions in
which to pose the model, I decided on a pose that
featured the Armor's space flight features. With a
pin-vise, I bored two hole, one in the base, and the
other in the groin of the model. A brass wire was
shaped and glued into place on the base, and the model
is set on the other end of the wire loose for ease of
transport. The model is primed white to give the grey
resin a weathered look, then painted with solid
colors. The exhaust vents for the maneuvering jets
are painted a base grey and drybrushed with a
combination brass and steel paints. The decals of the
model are from a GW tank.
