Scale: 1/100
Developed by Krupp and Daimler-Benz and produced by Henschell in 1943 next
to their Tiger tanks, the Uller would be the most famous of the walkers of
WWII.
Of all the Gear Krieg miniatures, I like the Uller the most. It is big for
it is small scale and it just looks mean carrying that great panzerfaust
and shield.
The miniature comes in 14 white metal parts and then additional weapons
and launchers. This variant has a heavy laser cannon mounted where the
3.2cm cannon would normally be.
Other additions are the extra tread on the front for "extra armor" and a
rack of jerry cans on the back (both from Battlefront Flames of War)
The miniature was washed in soapy water and then primed with White Armoury
Spray Primer. I used Zap a Gap to assemble it and paper clips for the pins on all
joints.
I painted it in desert colors to represent a fighting unit in Africa. I
used Vallejo Model Color paints Iraqi Sand for the base color.
All decals came with the miniature.
The base is a basic 40mm round plastic base covered with PVA glue and
sand.
