They were the ones who tried to get the TITAN with Cale's hand BUT they were also the ones who helped Cale to use the TITAN to make a new planet with their energy - BOB...

About the Model

TITAN A.E. was, in my humble opinion, a very cool movie. I liked the story, I liked the ships and I liked the aliens, the Drej! Polar Lights produced this 1:6 kit of one of those energetic creatures, and I build it straight from the box. Only the base was replaced with a nicer looking wooden one. I used clear epoxy as a filler for the seams, fine grained sandpaper (1000 and finer) and a lot of elbow grease to get rid of seamlines - look at the pics, there are none!

The kit was painted with several coates of clear blue from the rattlecan. The last but one layer was done with a very light blue color called “iceblue” from Citadel, just misted to keep the model transparent, followed by a final coat of clear blue.

No seams are visible now, but the creature is still transparent, although that is difficult to see in the pics. I played with the lighting and the settings of my digicam to be able to show it at least a bit - hey, I`m a model builder, not a photographer!

By the way, please notice that I didn`t use Photoshop retouches to alter the images - it is the hard light I used that created the harsh contrasts.
