Scale: Not stated

This is my Ertl PVC Rancor kit. It is virtually out of the box, except for the massive amounts of filler. Everything from milliput through Tamiya putty to just pouring Zap-a-gap into the gaps was used. The model was tacked together with cyanoacrylate ester and welded with Plumb-weld blue.

The creature seems to be bursting out of the diorama because, despite filling his legs with plaster, he still tended to sink slowly forward when he was glued to the base, and if not for the tabletop he'd have kept going, like my unfinished Cthulhu. at present the hand holding the guard is actually below the shelf surface where it seems to have stabilised.

The model was painted with a variety of household and Tamiya sprays, and detailed with Tamiya and Citadel paint.
