This model was built from a Tsukuda Hobbies chrome-plated T-800 Endoskeleton model. I had decided that the model needed a little more then the static look that the model had called out for in the directions. All that the model had to stand on was a bare, black stand. That wasn’t going to do for such a destructive piece of machinery. It had to look like it laid waste to every last human and building in sight.
Destruction was what it was built for and what it represents. Thus, I scratch built a base to give life and meaning to an otherwise dull model. Real stone and rock was used for the base, as well as real metal parts, with a touch of rust to give it that post-apocalyptic feel. You can almost smell the charred remains and the thick ash in the air.
I repositioned the model from the static “frozen man” look it had. I drilled out a few of the actuators and inserted some thin wire so that the right arm and both legs could be repositioned. It definitely needed to look like it was on the hunt and……….OH NO!! It’s turning and looking at me. I got to get out of here, fast!
