This is a 100 % scratch built model of Annakin's pod racer from Episode I. It was built 1:6 scale to accommodate the 1:6 Annakin action figure.The entire model measures over 6 feet in length.

The pod was carved out of foam then covered with a combination of smooth-cast polyurethane resin and cavocil(to make the resin thick enough to brush on) then sanded smooth.Details were added using vacuum formed pieces. The cockpit details were fabricated using brass and styrene strip and rod. The suspension was fabricated from brass and aluminum rod with ABS and styrene fittings.

The understructures of the pods are 4" PVC pipe. The front foils were vacuum formed from styrene over a fabricated wooden form as were the turbine details front and aft on the motors. The outer surface detailing was fabricated from a combination of styrene, brass and copper tubing,strip and rod.

The paint is a combination of spray gun, airbrush, wash,dry brush,and brush techniques.
