This is what I think the Star Destroyer SHOULD have looked like. I got tired of never being able to actually see the 60 Ion cannons and 60 turbolasers!
I call it an Imperial Attack Fortress. It's a product of my crossover book I am writing, in which the Empire and the Romulans have joined forces. The green parts are portions of Romulan technology, but the rest is good old Empire. It has a super armored hull and the forward thousand feet is solid with a tractor beam gondola to hold enemy ships in place while it rams them with it's shearing nose. The larger cannons are long range anti-planet, starbase or capital ship guns. The engines were enlarged and given more heat dissipation piping. Due to the armor, sensors were clustered on the bridge, with deflector dishes and a mighty antennae farm. The fighter bay was replaced with a "ribcage" of anti-fighter weaponry.
I used 2 Iowa class battlships, 1 U.S.S. Arizona, a kazon ship and various scraps for the rest. It took about three weeks to construct. I could have gone on forever with the detail on this one, but the deadline is too close. I must say that Gunmetal non-buffing metalizer was my favorite paint on this one. I used it for the details and engines. The hull is mostly engine gray, with the smaller guns being Platinum spray paint.
