My X-wing was built from the famous Ralph McQuarrie's paintings of his fighter. I used blue squadron markings from the book.

The fuselage was carved from wood then vacuum formed. The wings were sheet styrene. The engines were 1-1/4" pvc and flower holders with wire connectors as nozzels. The pilot is from the commercial kit with a full helmet and R2D2 is the early version with the radar"thingy" on its head.
