Scale: Studio
This is a scratchbuilt studio-scale Falcon. It is the same size as the model used in Empire and Jedi, roughly 32" long and 24" wide across the fuselage. It is built primarily from styrene and hundreds of pieces from various models. The techniques used were similar to Moe's and Ketzer's (great reference sites, by the way). I tried to copy the ILM model as close as possible. It took nearly two years to build. the references I used came from the Chronicles... book, Star Wars to Indy, and every picture I could fiind of the studio model on the net.
The base color is Krylon white primer. The other odd colors were airbrushed on. The model was weathered using every trick in the book.
The figures are 1/35 scale. Han and Chewie are in the cokpit and Luke and Lando in the turrets.
