This is a model of the V-19 Torrent starfighter, as seen in the Star Wars Clone Wars “microseries”. It was used by the clone troopers for the Republic during the Clone Wars.

The model was built using various thicknesses of sheet styrene, as well as wood supporting members on the interior, and pen tips for the lasers on the wings.

All the wings move as they do in the cartoon, so the ship can be placed in different poses. Here I have shown the flying position, and the landed position. I have not included landing gear, as I plan to display the model in the flying position. For the vertical wing, I cut small wood blocks in such a way that the wing could be bolted to them and turned up and down. For the side wings, I used wood dowels and 5/8” flexible plumbing tubing, which became the base for the engines.

I have kept detail and weathering to a minimum, as little was shown in the cartoon. Panel lines were created by gluing .01” styrene panels to the ship's sides. Most of the interior is imagined, as it was not shown much in the show.
