My entry is a ship developed jointly between the Freitek, Inc. and the Hapan Consortium. With remnent Imperial factions and the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong both threatening the New Republic, new fighters were needed. Since the Hapens are know for there warships and their fierce determination to defend their borders, the New Republic thought that colaberation between them would result in a ship that would help defeat their shared enemies. The resulting ship is known as the W-Wing (Talon) class ship.

The Talon-class ship is the most durable and armed ship either has ever developed. The Talon-class ship is a long range heavy assult fighter.

The ship pictured is Prince Isolder's personal ship known as the Phoenix. Prince Isolder named his ship Phoenix because she is able to survive tremendous enemy fire and keep fighting with out showing any signs of weakening.

Just a note on the use of a old technology (magnetic rail cannons): The Yuuzhan Vong's ships have shown an ability to absorb traditional energy weapons better than the other ships of the galaxy . A solid projectile traveling at near the speed of light hitting a fighter has devastating effects. This gamble has proven itself against the Yuuzhan Vong.

I used many parts from my parts box to make the W-Wing fighter. The basic ship is a Horten Ho229A-1 flying wing turned backward, with the cockpit moved forward half an inch. The laser cannons came from a X-wing (unknown manufacturer) the ion cannons came from a Klingon Bird of Prey model. The other missiles and rocket pods came from an Apache helicopter.
