This model is the original release from AMT Ertl. Scale is approximately 1/72, as it was seen in the Empire Strikes Back.

There were a few minor fit problems but nothing serious. The model features lighting from yellow LEDs and a red blinking LED connected to fiber optics for underside clearance lights. I took liberty with the main engines and used ones from an F15 Eagle in 1/48 scale. A few details were added to the cockpit area and exterior of the ship.

Painting was pretty straightforward. I used several shades of gray on panel details. To simulate wear and tear I wore away seam lines with light steel wool.
