The idea for this project sprang after reading A Galaxy Far Away by Matthew Usher. Instead of building only one as he did I decided to build all three of the fighters.

The models are box stock and the only modifications necessary were to cut out the slots for the sensors and to drill out the blaster cannons and energy torpedo tubes.

The light source for the sensors are three 1.5 v. mini maglight flashlight bulbs. The bulbs are wired in parallel and can be powered by both battery and or a 1.5v. transformer. The battery, switch, and wires are hidden in the base.

The models were painted using Model Master and Polly S acrylic and weathered using a variaty of media including pastels, graphite sticks, and pre- and post-shading technigues.
