Scale: Action Figure
I wanted to display some of my figures in a different way. After looking around for ideas, I finally got one looking in a pet store. I picked up some interesting aquarium décor pieces. With this one in particular, I put a figure of Shaak Ti from Episode II and a battle droid. For the droid, I cut of parts of its arms, its head, and antennas. I used day glow orange paint on the cut sections to give the effect of molten metal caused by the lightsaber slicing through it. I changed the color of the ground on the base and added all the plants. The base had plants already on it but they looked too fake so I used dried, colored plants.
I wanted to include some sort of animal life in this display. I decided on a flying creature. I used a plastic or vinyl toy of a stingray. I added a broader tail using styrene sheet and putty and painted it. Underneath it, I put six bumps were the feet would be. This represents were the animal can draws up is feet when it flies.
It did not take long to do. I spent most of the time trying to decide what plants to use and were to put them.
