H.G. Wells' WAR OF THE WORLDS is probably one of the most famous Science Fiction novels of all time; and the Tripod War Machine is one of its most interpreted images. This was my attempt to get close to what Wells described. Although a number of fairly specific details are mentioned, and a rough height of one hudred feet is given, there is still a wide range of interpretations possible.
